Getting There
May is perhaps the best month to visit Bergen and its beautiful surroundings. Bergen is known as the “Gateway to the fjords of Norway” [www.visitbergen.com].

The Flesland Airport [BGO], close to Bergen’s city center, is an international airport with daily connections to the major european airports.
There is an airport bus direct to the city center [www.flybussen.no]. A taxi trip to the city center takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

The Bergen Railway between Oslo and Bergen is considered one of the world’s most scenic train rides.
There are several daily departures between Oslo and Bergen. [www.nsb.no]
